“Body Basher” Bill Williams retired in 1963. Bill was a car body handler in No. 15 Shop, Canley and he had 35 years broken service with Standard Triumph.
Aubrey Bennett, Body Shop foreman presented Bill with a wallet full of money, subscribed to by all his workmates.
Bill first joined the company at Cash’s Lane in 1922.
